Task Force on Integration of World Bank Group Accountability Mechanisms: Draft Report for Public Comment and Consultation
The Boards of the World Bank, IFC, and MIGA have established a Task Force to develop options and recommendations regarding the potential integration of the World Bank Group’s independent accountability mechanisms: the World Bank Accountability Mechanism (comprised of the Inspection Panel (IPN) and Dispute Resolution Service (DRS)) and the IFC/MIGA Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman (CAO).
The Task Force has produced a draft report addressing the overarching questions of what components of the World Bank Group independent accountability mechanisms might be most useful to integrate; how extensive the integration should be and; how the process of integration could proceed.
To address questions and hear feedback on the draft report, the Task Force will hold an in-person conversation on April 13 with civil society organizations (CSOs) attending the World Bank’s Spring Meetings in Washington, DC, and will also host webinars.
The Inspection Panel encourages parties interested in the future of the World Bank Group’s accountability mechanisms to select a webinar date from the choices below. PLEASE NOTE: The Task Force has asked people to register for the following webinars by Monday, April 6, 2026.
