WASHINGTON, D.C. November 6, 1996. On Friday November 1, 1996 the Inspection Panel received from the Management of IBRD its response to the Request for Inspection filed in relation to the Argentina/Paraguay: Yacyretá Hydroelectric Project on September 30, 1996.

In accordance with IDA Resolution 93-6, the Panel will now conduct a review of the Request for Inspection and Management's Response, and make its

recommendation to the IBRD's Board of Executive Directors on whether or not the alleged omissions and failures in the preparation and initial implementation of the above-referenced project claimed in the Request should be investigated.
