The article provides an overview of the Panel and offers commentary on the ongoing process undertaken by the Board of the World Bank to examine the potential integration of the accountability mechanisms of the World Bank Group. The Panel would like to clarify that the article in question was never intended to represent the views of the Panel. The opinions expressed in the article are those of its author.

To be clear, the Panel and its staff have been fully engaged in all stages of the deliberative process undertaken by the Board and have been unhindered in communicating views and opinions with the Task Force on Integration, as well as with the Board and other stakeholders as appropriate.

The Panel fully respects the process and is assured that the Board will take its views into consideration (along with the views of all other stakeholders) as it comes to a determination of the future structure of the World Bank Group Accountability Mechanism.
