Richard Wyness is a seasoned professional with over 35 years’ experience in environmental and social risk management, especially in the oil and gas sector and renewable energy projects. He has previously worked at Shell, BG Group, IFC, and with various consultancies, managing development risks to deliver successful outcomes with proven experience in building local capacity through international financing. He has worked in over 25 countries, with a track record of providing support and advice to project development and to front-line operations, as well as supporting strategy and policy development at the company corporate level. He is a skilled manager who has led many diverse teams allied to a broad range of technical skills including risk and impact assessment, planning and management systems, stakeholder management, and audit, inspection and investigation. 

Richard holds a degree from Heriot-Watt University and Post Graduate Diploma from Edinburgh University.
